Accounts Receivable

Accounts Receivable is a sub-process of Invoice-to-Cash that ensures cash allocation & reconcilation of customer accounts and performs Cash collection activities. The AR team processes around 20.000 payments per month for invoices assigned from 166 affiliates to the CICC (Solvay Coordination Internationale des Crédits Commerciaux, S.A. - the Solvay Group's internal bank).

Detailed bank statements and customer files are sent to the AR Team in the form SAP daily reports to ensure reconciliation. Most AR tasks are standardized and automated to increase performance - manual processing is the exception.

Accounts Payable

Accounts Payable is responsible for verifying that supplier invoices match approval, posting and payment execution. The AP team manages and reconciles vendor balances through e-business tools, thus minimizing manual intervention and optimizing service costs while securing the proper execution of purchases.

Travel Expenses

Travel Expenses administers all travel and professional expenses reimbursements, while ensuring compliance with Company procedures and legal requirements.

Master-Data Codification

Codif Data-Controllers handle general customer and vendor information stored in the SAP system in order to avoid customer and vendor duplication and ensure all vendor payments are made to the correct bank-accounts.At Solvay 3S security compliance is a top priority - complying with mandatory fields and data-control help avoid any kind of disruption.

Close the Books

Close the Books is responsible for the monthly closing of about 130 companies - internally, for Solvay Chemicals and Plastics businesses; and externally, for Pharma business companies, now incorporated by the Abbott Group.
